Grace we don’t deserve

Have you ever had the feeling that your mistakes were too many to overcome? Have you ever found yourself in a circumstance where God was directing you to do one thing, but you ended up doing the exact opposite? Listen: it's okay to own up to your mistakes. When you refuse to accept responsibility for your actions and are living in denial about them, guilt seeps in and you become defensive about everything towards anyone that challenges your decisions and eventually you carry an emotional baggage that you were never intended to. That's when condemnation creeps in, and you start sustaining the weight of yesterday's choices with you wherever you go.

Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Women go through a wide range of emotions daily, and we can occasionally turn into "reactive beings" rather than exercising critical thought before making decisions. As a result, we can occasionally find ourselves in some peculiar situations, scratching our heads and trying to figure things out on our own or turning to people who are immature in their reasoning, which causes a fall to even deeper emotional whirlwinds of poor decisions. You are not alone!

And I will start out saying, - its going to be Ok! Throughout our life journey, we have all fallen short of God's glory and made some very poor decisions. The key to moving forward free of those choices is to own it. Acknowledge your foolishness, ask God's forgiveness, then extend forgiveness to yourself and move on.

Don’t stay stuck in a dark place.

And that's where a lot of people get stuck. Even on our finest days, we are all still undeserving of the grace that God bestows upon us every day, regardless of age. Ultimately, God is able to clean up the mess we make for ourselves, but He needs our participation in order to do so. It's impossible to have it both ways. As we continue on this path with the hope that better days are ahead, there comes a point in life when we must set aside immature behavior and thought patterns in order to receive God's best for us.

1 Corinthians 13:11 reminds us that when I was a child, I spoke like a child. I reasoned like a child. When I grew up, I gave up childish ways.

So set yourself free and receive His grace, which is sufficient to carry us through and beyond any mistake we may ever carry out. He gives us grace every day, something we can never earn, pay for, or deserve. So live completely in your purpose, and be certain that God will help you get through any issue or situation you find yourself in when you're at a loss for what to do. His ways are superior to ours, and His plan for your life is greater than anything you could ever hope to achieve.

Be Blessed!
