Ready To Receive

As we begin to see new flowers spring up, the trees begin to blossom and hear the heavenly sound of birds chirping early in the day, it is safe to say that a new season is upon us. Spring's almost here! This means that it's time to take off the old and prepare for the new, for what's yet to come. Something new is flowing on the horizon. (Spoiler: I wrote a memoir! Learn more about my new book My Journey to Building a Better You. )Are you in a position to receive what's to come? We say a lot of times that we want something new, or we pray for God to bless us with something better, but are we really ready to receive what we ask for? More often than not, we ask for things we are not prepared to receive mentally, physically, or spiritually. In order to receive the best of God, we need to remove the garments that easily weigh us down. Take off the garments of unforgiveness, jealousy, doubt, bitterness, backbiting, promiscuity, and the many other things that hold us back. Adorn yourself with the necessary accessories, such as self-love, patience, kindness, encouragement, and thanksgiving. These are just a few positive attributes that will help you and me to obtain the best of God. So, get ready to receive it!
